Pacific Coast Working Dog Club is a Northern California based Schutzhund Club that trains Sunday mornings in Dixon California. Dixon is about 40 minutes west from Sacramento. We are a full member club with United Schutzhund Clubs of America. Our members range in experience from newcomers to the sport that are working their first dogs to members that have been in the sport for years and have competed at the Regional Level.

Our club is open to any working dog, no matter the breed, that has the temperament, sound nerves and drive to do the sport of Schutzhund , now called IGP. IGP is a three phase (tracking, obedience and protection) sport and we passionately promote this philosophy. We all work together as a team to support each other during training so that the members and dog reach their full potential.

Our club always welcomes visitors and potential new members . If you would like to come out and train please contact our Training Director, Chee Lam.

The protection phase is the one phase that is the crowd pleaser and the most fun phase. However, our club feels, and since this is a three phase sport, that we should all practice and train in all the phases. With that being said, when visitors, potential new members and members train at our club you may not just train in the protection phase. If you come for protection you must also do the obedience phase too. If you are not interested in doing any protection training and would like to just do Schutzhund tracking and/or Schutzhund obedience you are still more than welcome to come and train with us.
